What does it cost?

For about what you'd spend installing these systems yourself, MHS offers you the whole package: consultation, design, installation, testing, training, follow-on service, documentation and record keeping. Plus, you get the ability for these systems to be built in, and the ability to roll the costs into your mortgage*. If you're just looking at product costs, you're not looking at the full picture.

How do we pay for it?

Modern Home Systems works with your builder to optimize our systems for your floor plan. Since the systems you choose are integrated during the build of your house, they are typically included in your mortgage for your convenience. If for some reason you didn't want them included in the price of the house, we can handle that too, just let us know.

Is it complicated?

Not for you it's not! While there is a lot of training and experience involved in properly integrating the various systems, our goal is to deliver a simple seamless set of home systems to you. We'll schedule some time with you after you move in to sit down and show you how everything works and we're always here to answer questions.

Do I have to buy all of these systems?

Many of our customers do buy all of the systems that we offer figuring that it is the least expensive time to do it. However, our systems are offered “a la carte” so feel free to pick and choose what you'd like. We offer discounts for those customers who do choose the full range of MHS products and services however.

What if I need help in a year?

If you need help in a week, a month or five years, call us! That's why you buy from MHS, we're here to help.

What products and systems does MHS use?

Our team has years of experience and used it in selecting products that are optimized for your home. We use products from quality vendors like OnQ Legrand, HAI, Bose, Denon, Belden, Russound, Leviton, Monster, MD Mfg., Panamax and many many more. While the vendors we've chosen generally are not the least expensive, we feel that they are the best in their respective categories.

Can we roll these things into our mortgage?

*Generally yes, that's one of the many reasons to have these systems put into your new home when it's being built. Your builder and lender can give you more information on how to include upgrades in the price of the home.
